Senior Prom

The very last prom dance of my life... here's what went down.

Promposal

Not only did I get asked by a sick date, he gave me a real betta fish. I named him Russell. He's chillin' in my bathroom.

My Girls

Bridesmaid pose round 2: Liz, myself, Rachel, Shannon, Nora

Date

Prom theme: Neverland Location: Mayowood Barn

Dress from Asos, Shoes from Payless, Arm jewelry from Rue 21, Necklace from Forever 21.

Overall, Prom 2015 was a blast. The venue was amazing; twinkly lights, mason jars, and cobblestone floors. My dress was only $50 and my accessories/shoes were less than $50, which made my wallet happy. So if you're strapped on cash around prom season, wearing a simple dress that plays up one feature and adding accessories can be just as elegant and sophisticated as a $500 dress. I hope everyone who went to prom this year had a good time as well, and this night will definitely be one I remember. Thank you to all my friends who kept the good vibes going, my chill prom date, and everyone else who made this night special.

NYE/Smokey Eye Tutorial

  1. (0:07) I first took Verve and placed it all over my eyelid as a base color. Really concentrate it on the middle and inner part of your eye.
  2. (0:17) Then taking Pistol, I placed it on the outer part of my eye and blended it towards the middle and up to my crease.
  3. (0:35) For a highlight color, I used BootyCall. And blended it with Pistol.
  4. (0:52) Taking another brush, I put BlackOut near the lash line on the outer eyelid and blended it up with Pistol. Then I just intensified the look by layering more on top of that.
  5. (1:24) Blend Pistol and BlackOut together so there's no harsh lines.
  6. (1:40) Taking the Sephora black liquid waterproof eyeliner, I lined my whole top lid and made a thick cat eye
  7. (2:30) Line 3/4 of your bottom waterline with a black pencil eyeliner.
  8. (2:56) Take Pistol again and place it under your eyes, blending it in an outwards motion.
  9. (3:03) Using a combination of Verve and BootyCall, pat it on your inner corner.
  10. (3:09) Take BlackOut and blend it upwards from the lower outer V.
  11. (Not in the Video) Add mascara to top and bottom lashes and you're done!
